CDisplay RAR Archived Comic Book (CBR) is a compressed file type that can contain many different files stored together to form a single archive file of digital comic books. In reality, it is a Roshal Archive Compressed (RAR) file but renamed to CBR to distinguish it as a file that contains comic books. CBR files are also known by the more simple term, Comic Book Reader file.
The default program for opening CBR is CDisplay Ex, which is free, popular, and can read other comic book file formats. Alternative readers to try are SumatraPDF, which is also free, or CDisplay Comic Reader. For macOS and Linux/Unix, try Calibre. Use ComicScreen to open CBR files on Android, and icomix to open CBR files on iOS.
Since CBR is an archive file format, converting it involves extracting the files and then re-archiving them into another archive file format. Or, after extracting the files, you can convert individual images to other file types, such as CBR to JPG, and CBR to PDF.

Tagged Image File Format (TIFF), also known as TIF, is one of the most common image file formats. The most prevalent use of TIFF files is in digital advertisements and desktop publishing. The bitmap and raster structure of TIFFs provide this file format with the flexibility to function as a container for JPEGs, image files with lossless compression, images with layers, or as pages.
The most common programs to open TIFF files are Photo Viewer for Windows and Apple Preview for macOS. A free and independent program you can use is called XnView MP. You can also use our TIFF to JPG converter if you are having trouble opening tiff files.
Alternative programs such as ColorStrokes, GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP), Adobe Photoshop, and ACDSee are also useful for opening and handling TIFF files.
