Sony RAW (SRF) is a raw image file produced by a Sony DSC-F828 or DSC-R1 camera, which stores raw image data, as captured by a Sony camera. It is great for editing, as it contains all an image’s data as captured by the camera’s charge-coupled device (CCD). SRF is like Sony RAW Sony RAW (ARW), except SRF is more common and can store Lightwave Surface 3D files.
The default program for opening SRF files is Adobe Photoshop. Other programs include HDR Darkroom and Zoner Photo Studio.
Alternative programs for opening SRF vary by platform. On Microsoft Windows, try the Microsoft Camera Codec Pack, Zoner Photo Studio, or FastStone Image Viewer. On macOS, use PhotoScape X for Mac. On Linux/Unix, try darktable, which is open-source, cross-platform, and free. SRF is usually converted to the more common JPEG (SRF to JPG) and Portable Network Graphics (SRF to PNG) file formats.
